Caroline and I were both blessed to grow up hearing the gospel and were saved before our teenage years. As we trained at Bob Jones University, I as a missions major, and Caroline as a nurse, our hearts were increasingly burdened for missionary service in a rural, third world country. In 2009, while preparing for my summer internship in Papua New Guinea with the Randy Smith family, I met Caroline who had served at a medical clinic with Jennifer Pearson in PNG the summer before.

We were married in the summer of 2011 and both graduated from the BJU Seminary in 2013. In the fall of that year I had the opportunity to return to PNG for a survey trip in preparation for beginning career service with my family. I had opportunities to preach, go on a bush mission trip with national believers, minister musically, help with hands-on projects, and observe the Bible school ministry. Through this trip the Lord gave both  Caroline and I confirmation and a fresh vision for church planting work in PNG.

We are excited to be able to work in Kiari alongside Jeff and Elizabeth Owens, and Karen Hall. I will be heavily involved in helping to train the nationals through the Bible school, as well as provide a support role in preaching, music, evangelism and manual projects. Caroline will have opportunities to minister to the ladies and children through Sunday school, special classes, and other church ministries.

On May 25th, 2014, the Lord blessed us with little Isobel Hope Dion. We pray that she will accept the Lord at a young age and truly fulfill the meaning of her name to be "Devoted to the Lord." We named her after Isobel Kuhn, missionary to China in the mid 1900s, whose many books and life testimony have been a great blessing to us.

“How very important it is to obey the Lord, step by step! We cannot know how much may hinge on one single step.

The whole course of a life might be changed by just a step.” (Isobel Kuhn, In The Arena, 8)

1 Kings 8:61 says, "Let your heart therefore be wholly DEVOTED TO THE LORD

our God.”

On February 6th, 2016, William Fraser Dion also joined our family and since that time the Lord has allowed us to transition to full time deputation! His name means, "Resolute Protector." We pray that William will be a "resolute protector" of the faith who will "attempt great things for God."

2 Thessalonians 2:15 says "STAND FAST, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle."

"Expect great things from God. Attempt great things for God."

(William Carey - missionary to India)

"Here then we see God's way of success in our work, whatever it may be--a trinity of prayer, faith, and patience."

(James O. Fraser - missionary to the Lisu people)

The Lord blessed us with Priscilla Anne Dion on July 7th, 2018 just prior to our departure for the field. We pray that Priscilla will live a life of service to Christ with her heart always in His hands.

"Priscilla" was known as an early church missionary and disciple-maker. In Romans 16:3 Paul says,

"Greet Priscilla and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus."

"A little while we are in eternity; before we find ourselves there, let us do much for Christ."

(Ann Judson - missionary to Burma)

John 9:4 says, "We must work the works of Him who sent Me as long as it is day; night is coming when no one can work."

"He has my heart in His hands"

(Ann Judson - missionary to Burma)

Proverbs 16:9 "A man's heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps."
